Whole of Government Programs

This area provides for whole of government employment initiatives.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders
The Office of Aboriginal Affairs manages a whole of Government employment register for positions which are identified or tagged for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. 

People with disabilities
The People with Disabilities Fixed-Term Employment Program is a joint Tasmanian State Government arrangement with registered Disability Employment Service Providers to take a leadership role in advancing the inclusion of people with disability in all aspects of our business.

The Disability Employment Service Providers assist our Agencies to provide opportunities for people with disability.

As an employer:
People with disability routinely apply for positions;
We have reviewed our recruitment processes to ensure they are barrier-free to people with disability;
We offer flexible work conditions;
Employees with disability participate in training and development; and
Agencies have implemented a Disability Action Plan.
